04 · Word of mouth
Brake pads and rotors fitted on my ASX, along with a 60,000 km service — full praise for the work. A big thank you to Preep and the team for looking after my car so well.
One of the best workshops in Adelaide — they charge a genuine amount for excellent work.
They fixed the problem with my car and even sorted the windshield washer fluid while they had it. Very happy with the service.
Friendly, honest and will return.

06 · Common questions
Follow the schedule in your owner's manual — it's the interval your engine was designed for. For most modern cars that's every 10,000–15,000 km or once a year, whichever comes first. If your car is older, you do lots of short trips, or you tow, a shorter interval (the old rule of thumb was 6 months or 10,000 km) is wise. When you book with us, we check your exact schedule and record the service in your log book.
It's a good idea. A jump-start only puts in enough charge to start the engine — the alternator will top the battery up over 30 minutes or so of driving, but a deeply discharged battery recovers better on a proper charger. If your battery has gone flat more than once, or it's more than a few years old, have it tested — repeated flats are often the sign of a battery on the way out or a fault in the charging system. We can test both for you and tell you honestly whether it needs replacing.
The usual warning signs: a high-pitched squeal when braking (that's the wear indicator doing its job), a grinding noise (metal on metal — get it looked at straight away), the car pulling to one side, a vibration or pulsing through the pedal, longer stopping distances, or a brake warning light on the dash. Most pads last somewhere between 30,000 and 70,000 km depending on the car and how you drive. Not sure? We inspect the brakes as part of every service and show you exactly what we find.
